OK, I'm changing this thread...
it was about me not having a Jarmusch fest. But alas, the video store didn't have Down by law and Stranger than Paradise.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for Ice cream!
Tom waits was sooo good in those.

So, What movies have musicians or singers in them that are special because of it?

Mystery Train
Down by Law
Almost all the Jarmusch movies

Well, think of any?

I just wrote a film analysis for my english class on Down By Law.

That ice cream part made me laugh so hard.

High Fidelity with the Boss!

Rock n' Roll High School--Ramones.

I think Iggy did well in Crow 2.

Hmmm...wasn't there a RnR HS remake with one of the Coreys that featured Mojo Nixon? Wow, I just mentioned Mojo two times tonight!

Mark Kozelek was in Almost Famous. The Mighty Mighty Bosstones were in Clueless. Fishbone was (I think) in Say Anything, but I may just be thinking of the soundtrack.

I think Iggy did well in Crybaby.

Also, Tom Waits did a killer Renfield in BS' Dracula.
The Circle Jerk for Repo Man.
Debbie Harry in Videodrome.

*NOT* Tina Turner in Thunderdome.

I just watched DIG! so that one is the first that comes to mind. Dandy Warhols and BRain Jonestwon Massacre. One thing I never did know was that Peter Hayes from BRMC used to be in TBJM.

I don't know if this makes it "special" but Alanis in Dogma.

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy in Swingers.

Tricky in The Fifth Element.

Mos Def in The Woodsman and The Italian Job. (I just found out there is going to be a Brazilian Job..hmmm)

Forgot about that. I was just looking at my copy thinking "well...it had Gwen Stefani."

David Bowie:

The Hunger
The Man who fell to Earth
Labyrinth
Absolutely Beginners

Madonna: Desperately Seeking Susan, Shangai, Evita(not that the last two mentioned are special at all!)

John Doe: Slam Dance(awesome thriller with Tom Hulce from 80's), Georgia, Boogie Nights

Adam Ant: Slam Dance

That's all I can think of offhand.
