5 watt class A fender champ clone by Mark Sampson, of Matchless and Badcat fame.

Stay tuned to see what else I get me. So what are you getting yourself?

I'm so amped (pun intended).

Dig it. I can't wait till my little star nova gets here. All my guitarist friends who are "not knowing", are gonna laugh till i plug in, and then they're gonna cry, kind of like that joke where the cowboy makes the depressed horse laugh, and then makes it cry by betting the horse that his dick is bigger, and then proving it. God, that one always kills me.

This shit will be redonkulous.

I'm buying myself a portable DVD player for the bus ride to and from work, and a new receiver once my tuition reimbursement hits my bank account.

Dorkestra, that looks like a "be-ut"! Very vintage looking. Nice.

I've been kind of bad re: buying myself stuff lately because I just started a new job and am now making some more money.

My recent purchase:

I got it second-hand so I got a pretty good deal: $260 Can

It's nothing fancy as far as bass amps go, but its my first one and bass is not my main instrument. It's really fun to make the walls shake. :)

That's wicked. I had my birthday recently and one of the presents my b-f got me was a gift certificate to an art store. I bought an acrylic paint starter kit: paints, a little canvas, a palette, brushes, and a mini eisel. I'm pretty psyched to try it out.

Have fun with yours. :)

Too cool! Have you seen all the things you can add to your paint for texture? Let me know if you find a good book about acrylic painting. I've order this one from Amazon, but it won't be here until January.

Shit, I must deserve something, but I haven't thought about buying anything.

I need:
- tennis, squash and badminton racquets
- records
- something to convince me to make music again

Santa Phil thinks Phil has been very good this year, and deserves something nice. Maybe even a couple of nice somethings.

Ooooh yeah.

you hitting on me?? lol.

Hah..i would if i could...you'd be shocked on how heavy security is at these things. You need media badges, credentials, security checks you as you walk in or out...its nutty...

but when i goto these things, i just see tons of instruments, not being able to tell the difference between any of them....at the same time, i have musician friends who get their and they go crazy like kids in toys r us...

i wish i had that appreciation..that looks like a sweet vintage amp...
i have too much ADD to learn to play guitar though.

Kiddo, i'm the original poster child for ADD. Seriously. The trick is that I'm also the original poster child for OCD.

that's heavy mang.

But it sounds like a good recipe for a marvelous heroin addiction which is great for the indie rock physique, and supposedly good at bringing your muse out to play.

Epi EJ-200. Damn, I'm getting into this guitar thing too. I just started really giving it a go a little over a month ago and I'm already yearning to add an electric to the stable. I need a tele bad.

Anybody wanna buy some drums?

Heh heh. Yeah, I think I'm in a similar place to Esh right now... trying to find stuff to re-inspired me to play music. The bass is definitely working, actually. My old bandmate used to say that if I got one I'd prolly never play it... but he was so wrong... I play every chance I can. It's so much fun to learn stuff: today I learned "Foggy Notion" and "What Goes On".

Apart from bass I'm kind of laying low for the time being. Not really in the mood to sing or write much these days. Guess I'm still kind of sad about the whole thing and feeling a little cynical.

Have fun guitar shopping... there are so many nice ones out there. :)
