A few months ago I met a man in a bookstore. My friend and I were looking at greeting cards and he approached us and started trying to caption the blank cards and be cute and funny. He's about 30 years older than me, i'm estimating. Anyways, he talks for a long time, he talks about art and music, and he kind of gives off the idea that he has something mentally wrong with him. Not that he's crazy he's just sort of mentally, well.. not all there. Anyways, he proceeds to give me his phone number and tells me to call him.

Months pass by, of course I never call him, I threw away the card.. Tonight i'm working, what do you know, the same man walks up to me. He forgets he met me before and I do not remind him of this, and he strikes up a conversation about art and music. He does the same thing, talks for fucking ever, and gives me a card with his name and phone number on it.

How fucking weird is that? Who would have thought that would happen more than once, the same man and everything, and I remember him because not many 47 year old men give me their phone numbers or anything. One told me he'd like to take me to a movie, though. Luckily I never saw him again.
Anyways. I just thought i'd share my experience and it proved to me that the world is a lot smaller than it appears and life is comprised of a series of coincidental occurances and it's really strange.
Of course I wont call him but i'm not throwing the card away either. I think i'm going to give it to my friend who was there when we met the first time, because that's so strange. Either that or i'll put it in this box I keep of weird things that remind me of old memories. I have shit like pictures and rocks and dead flowers. Anyways, I wanted to share. It was very strange.
Carry on with your lives now.

Call the local DA and turn him in. He's ruined somebody's life, guarans.

what are you talking about?

Cemetary... It's probably a case where he's the kind of guy who does that kind of thing repeatedly. I f he is a little unstable it could be a weird habit he has.

It's pretty strange nonetheless!

Oui, c'est un garcon qui habite a Toronto, alors tu peux take care of him pour moi facilement. Mais, je pense que je l'ai sous controle. Talk about creepy, though.

Oh i'm sure i'm not the only one. But the fact that it's happened to me twice, and he didn't remember me from the first time is weird.

That's creepy.

I don't hit on girls half my age anymore, so it wasn't me.

It's a shame he didn't walk into the place of C-Polka's employ while nude and carrying a six-pack of beer.

were you working at some place that weirdos frequent, or just at some yogurt shop in the west end? because if you were around campus or something then he's probably just a run of the mill wacko, but if you were on southside or something then he definitely has some skeletons and some little girls trapped in his closet.

grocery store in the west end. I get many weirdos, but for every 5 weirdos and 3 menopausal women, I get a very nice and laid back customer.

That "Dusty Chalk Legal Defense Fund" for dealing with all those restraining orders got a little taxed, eh?
