Does anyone know anything about these?

SACD's, right? Like the Stones releases. Not DualDiscs.

That would be awesome. Any bonus tracks or just the albums themselves? I've never owned anything by them but I would definitely buy 77 on the day it comes out.

check out that logo...looks like a frat boy's tribal arm or calf tattoo.

I agree it is gay but the Stones remasters do sound good. And I hate DualDiscs. And DVD-Audio seems like a scam.

ehhhh...I never said it was lame. I was referring to the logo. In any event, if you have a 5.1 setup I would imagine these would sound good.I own a bunch of their albums already so, I don't forsee myself rebuying them anytime soon.

Where did you hear this? Is this something new? I have an email from Dr. Rhino from a few weeks back confirming that the Heads releases in a couple weeks (and then in February) will be DualDisc only and they have no plans to ever issue them in any other format. (Which is a mistake if you ask me - DualDisc will die one of these days after enough people get tired of dealing with players and drives that won't read them, or players that will accept them but then get jammed because of the thickness of the discs. I hate Dualdiscs, can you tell?)

DualDiscs are the scourge of the earth. If I buy one, I immediately burn it and make mp3s. I don't feel like scratching the hell out of one side.

And I too despise DualDiscs. If they're only available in that format, I might not buy them, just download them.

Ah, okay. That would be a mistake then. There will be no SACD versions of these, nor even regular CD versions, at least not for the foreseeable future (not until Rhino sees tons of these sitting on shelves going unbought, in other words.)

I want the DVD content too, however - aside from the surround-sound audio of the album proper, there are live videos and other stuff accompanying each disc.

Which is why they are a good idea, but bad follow-through. In theory, the Dual Disc is fantastic. The first I bought was Devils and Dust and was very interested in the DVD side for extras. I ended up hating the duality. Then I bought Franz's new one on DD and was very into the DVD side as well, but it just isn't utilitarian to have this abomination.
