Crashed at the house where last night's New Years party was and on the way out of town this morning saw a going out of business sign for a local Media Play - everything at least 40% off their already kinda discounted prices.

You can figure out the rest.

Total for everything was just over $200. I'm gonna be busy for a while.

I dont know about music, but their movies are incredibly marked up. Most of the movies will retail for $24-27 before discount, so, not much of a deal. But, I did finally get Blue Velvet for $10.50.

Yeah, only deal I got on a DVD was Reservoir Dogs for $8.
I'll hit em on DVDs when they get down to 60% or so. They still had tons of copies of new releases (Four Brothers, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, etc.) at that $27 price.
Prolly get some more CDs then, too. I put back a lot of CDs that I thought I might be able to get a better deal on through BMG sales.

Media Play's CD's were pretty expensive, too. Maybe that's why they're going out of business. People in malls across America are finally realizing that there is no reason to pay 18.99 for a CD.

Nope. Looked like they still had their full book stock, but it was cordoned off with yellow police tape. Odd. I wonder why they're not selling off the books.
Gonna have my peeps up in Saginaw keep an eye on what the discount levels are and might shoot up there next weekend for DVDs.
