Great article. It touches on the reasons I loved (love? it's been too long...) hallucinogens.....

Some friends and I celebrated 'bicycle day' the year before last; 'twas fun. LSD is pretty great, but count me with the Hoffman types that have been there and done that. No answers, only questions . . . and awesome visuals of course.

That's the one drug I wanted to try above them all, and I never got the chance.

Baba Ram Dass used to say he fried once a year "just to check in." I presume that was before his stroke.

Alas, I have lost the privilege. Nice article, thanks.

Ditto.

Had a nice run playing with that stuff though. Good times. (for the most part)

Weird. I opened this thread and the next thing I knew my wallpaper started to bubble out at me. Now I feel like this:

I want to do it again now that I'm older and haven't done it in probably 7-8 years.

PERFECT description for me. I am glad I asked the questions, tho.

asking is half of it. I saw and such, and not that I wouldn't , but I have realized there's no time for that any more...its like we've [gasp]grown up![/gasp]

Baaah....Acid Shmacid....normal everyday psychosis is where its at Baaaaby!
(if you're lucky(?) enough to drop into it on occassion)

And whatever you say about acid, good or bad, it still leaves your brain feeling like a piece of roadkill lying in a puddle at high noon in the middle of death valley the next morning.

Been there, done that, stick to shrooms if you want to trip, IMHO

Seriously though, as someone who has been diagnosed as mentally ill,
your brain is just too valuable an organ to fuck with like that, pot's ok, maybe shrooms are, but I'd stay away from anything harsher than that.

Not a problem, I understand the quest for answers. I also know that people will continue to trip and fly and I wish them all good experiences and happy landings. Its just not a decision to be made lightly, or often.

I've been to Costa Rica, you lucky bastard! Its the most beautiful place I've ever visited. If I could save up that 50K (yeah right...) I'd buy my cititzenship there.

Acid + Shrooms is pretty great, though i fear having that combo too often will turn you into a mess

Oh do I have stories.

I knew I was destroying my brain so I knew to limit my experiences. I did do a Candyflip at the Screamadelica concert.

Acid is what fueled my love for the Boo Radleys. It was such a revelation where I was able to say, Martin now I get where you are really coming from.
