Everybody I'm hearing/reading seems to be picking Carolina.

We all know how that usually works outs when people get too high on a road underdog.

I did, and there are Giants fans who haven't shown up for work yet who are in for a world of hurt when they get here.

I'd rather be going to Chicago than Seattle.

It'll be a tough game either way, but yea I'd rather go back to Chicago than play at Seattle.

I think I could hear the collective scream of gamblers nationwide while Palmer was writhing on the turf.

You do know that the Bears set the record for fewest points given up at home over 8 games, right? They give up like 7.6 points a game at home.

I think Washington stacks up better against the Bears. I like putting the Skins D against another anemic offense than having to contain Seattle. Portis, Samuels, and Brunell are nicked up, if you have to rely on Betts and Centers in the backfield, I'd prefer not to be in a shoot-out.

Yup. Seahawks-Skins could get messy.

Sorry if it was mentioned on the other playoff thread, but how awesome was Lavar's post-game interview?

Crikey.

Come on, I'm nervous enough already. I feel like my life is hanging in the balance, and that's kinda pathetic since it is only a football game.

I thought that was Bears-49ers. But if the other team was Philly, that's awesome... It would have been great enough just having Ditka facing off with Buddy, but add the fluke of a London fog, and, damn....

yeah, that ain't good.

that being said: are there two any scarier teams in these playoffs than New England and Carolina? Like, I know that the Bears should win this game, but I'm not sure why: Carolina is a great road team, is hot as hell, has a decidedly better offense, and a not too far behind D. And oh yeah: They've actually been there before....(first time playoff QB's didnt do so well this past wknd)..........

And Spade if you give me the "look at the matchup in the regular season", I will officially dismiss you as a guy who openly knows nothing about football. And I know you're better than that.

This game is a pick 'em. Maybe Bears -1.5 or -2 b/c of homefield but I cant give them the full 3.

And trust me, I don't disrespect the Bears in the least.

4.5 j/k

its actually 30.5 with the game line at Bears -3.0 so adjust your wagers accordingly.

i know a lot of you aren't sold on grossman, but one thing to realize that he, not orton, is playing this game. this gives the bears a passing game that opposing defenses have to notice, and doesn't allow them to put 8 or 9 in the box to defend against the run like when orton was in.

i, for one have been surprised/impressed by Rex in what I've seen: Good thing Lovie gave hime some reps in that last game, right?

And this aint the Falcs secondary. Carolina got some hard, pipe swingin, niggas out there.

And Thomas Davis is playing like a dude who just skipped his parole.
