Not important. There's always gonna be at least one song per Placebo album that makes me think of OPA!

Seriously, they've only put out one mediocre album, imo. The rest are top notch.

What are some songs that very reminiscent of their sound? I'd like to check into them. My friend used to love them back in the day. I still really dig that Timo Mass track "Pictures".

Check out "Nancy Boy" and "Pure Morning". Opposite ends of the Placebo dynamic, but both great.

damn, i'm not really sure why i never heard placebo before. i think maybe i was turned of for some reason by pure morning or something at the time that was a single.
but anyway, i'm glad i gave 'em another chance -- this album rocks! thanks so much D.
i think i'm off to order their singles comp...unless y'all think i just need to get the complete albums?

the singles comp is cool, but i think you'll be happier in the long run with their albums.

start with their debut, and go from there.

thanks again for this hookup. very solid and this album is pretty on target with their previous stuff, right? The sound is familiar. Like I said, my friend used to rock these guys all the time back in the day. recommended.

the debut and Without You Im Nothing are the only albums you need - the other albums have a coupla good singles, not worth buying unless cheap

I disagree -- I really liked Black Market Music.

But those are certainly the first two to get.

i don't see the point in Placebo ever existing.

Without You I’m Nothing is a classic. The debut is dirty which all should be and Black Market Music is a very sold album. 2003's Sleeping With Ghosts is also good but have played the least.

Meds is sounding good and so glad they are back!

Don't people know how to use the internet?
