Anyone got the 411 on her? Flipping through the channels this morning came across her single on VH1, and it was catchy enough for me to stop and listen through. Wondering if all her songs have a Bo Diddley rhythm to them?

It was released overseas right? I think US has a February release date according to what I found.

my wife really digs her.

the video i've seen has her doing some solo shit live and looping a bunch of stuff on the spot, layering it, then singing over it.

i was impressed by the live video, but the album is meh....

She's Scottish.

Actually the album has been a big mainstream success in the UK this year meaning, of course, that I've not heard her LP but she has been on King Creosotes albums (whom I love liked a quite older, heavily bearded bigger brother) and has Fence connections and Fence connections can only be a good thing.

I offer all the time, and rarely get taken up on it, but here goes again.

PM for hookup on this.

i'm not a big fan. liked the album ok, went to the show two nights ago. she wants very much to be your shit-kickin' female rocker, your lucinda-only-more-blues, but she still registers under bonnie raitt. it's catchy but leaves me skeptical.

I like her a little more than Katie, but yeah it's not an amazing album, just a good one.

The single certainly sounds good on commercial radio. Stands out from all the "active rock" b.s.
