One that's come to my attention recently and hasn't let go. It just further infuriates me every time.

The fact that people on television always wear their shoes indoors. It doesn't matter if it's the Simpsons or Seinfeld or anything else... shoes! On all the time! Inside! Walking on the carpet!

The only time there seems to be an exception is when it's necessary. For instance, somebody is going to make a joke about somebody's socks. Then they'll suddenly have their shoes off for the first time ever.

And you never see anyone putting their shoes on before going out. They're always just "Let's go!" and walk out the front door suddenly.

people who take their shoes off inside creep me out. they're always baby molesters and girl scout cookie pimps at the office and live in prefab suburbs that their doodoo shoes couldn't possibly damage anyway.

is your dad the guy that brings his daughter's girl scout cookie order form or something to work and leaves it in the breakroom next to a picture of his nubile but not quite fair game daughter? I HATE THAT GUY.

I usually just take my shoes off in my room, unless they're wet/dirty or something.

since were talking about TV pet peeves.

i hate how they always turn the TV off after a few seconds, even if it's a news special about them.

i cant even begin to list all my pet peeves but a few off the top of my head

1. people who chew gum in general but especially with an open mouth
2. people who spit
3. people who can't quickly execute a right hand turn such as into a driveway or something and linger halfway in the road forever and ever

Because it's not even like the cut away, implying there was time in between, or anything like that.

We can enter the scene with the person finishing watching a movie, which implies they've been sitting around for a few hours. They'll then get up, talk to a friend, and immediately walk out the door. No cut.

So that implies he's been sitting around for a few hours with his shoes on.

I never wear my shoes farther than the front hallway. Besides the fact that I don't want to track mud and slush into the house, I just don't find them comfortable. I wear slippers 70% of the time around the house anyway.

Yeah, and they don't stop long road trips to go to the bathroom unless it's a slasher flick, or teenage comedy flick, or otherwise necessary to the plot. No-one ever just "has to go" when it is otherwise inconvenient.

i echo the 'turn signal' thing. (why WOULDN'T you want to let people know what you're doing when you're in a vehicle. oy.)

people who don't say 'thank you' when you hold the door for them.

people who pull out in front of you....but then drive slower than you were before they were in such a hurry that they just HAD to get in front of you.

otherwise....i'm pretty easy going.

This is easy:

The person who constantly sniffs. They've got a snotty nose...SNIFF..wait a few seconds....SNIFF...wait a few more seconds..SNIFF. There could be a fucking kleenex box right in front of them and.... SNIFF.

I could cheerfully bludgeon them to death to alleviate them of the pain and discomfort of their post-nasal drip.

That would be me as I have Nasal polyps constantly clogging my airways, and this results in perma allergies for the most part. Sometimes I could use a bludgeoning for relief.

bad drivers and poor grammar are at the top of my list. there is a sign on train platforms for drugstore.com with the quote "guess where i did my holiday shopping?" and it drives me crazy each time i see it.

Yeah, I totally hate it when everybody's getting ready to leave, and they never have to wait silently, flipping though magazines, for somebody to go to the bathroom.

When guys use the bathroom stalls to pee standing up - that's what the urinals are for! What's more, these are the same guys who fail to lift the seat and pee all over it, the don't clean it up, and everyone avoids that stall until the pee has coagulated and can't easily be cleaned off. Even with the tissue toilet donut, I ain't sitting there.

Also bathroom related: the nose pickers who can't seem to locate the toilet paper. What's the deal there? Is it that hard to unroll it, or is this some sort of territorial marking ritual?

i've always figured that guys who used stalls instead of urinals were doing so because the urinals were being used or they're really shy.
