The Death Ray Davies' new CD
Damien Marley- Welcome to Jamrock
An assortment of- Blur, Transglobal Underground, Captian Beefheart, Radiohead, Iggy Pop, Meat Puppets, Love, etc

I think that my dad actually has better taste in music than me. He is really big into to music, has thousands of cds, tapes and records and stays current with whats happening in music today.

I got my dad into the new Richard Ashcroft album so he's been listening to that this week.

My dad just listens to a rotating list of
Springsteen (every album but that crappy double release he did)
Sports Radio
Meat Loaf, first album
Wilson Pickett
The Tams.

that is all.

Last time I was in the car with Dad he had XM's Bluesville channel on--which is 90% of the time I'm in the car with him--and halfway to the destination he popped in an unidentified Mavis Staples disc.

If alive:

Kingston Trio
Jim Croce
1812 Overture
Crappy talk radio
Simon & Garfunkel (though more mom's taste, at a guess)

You know, I'm sure there was more - I remember him being in Columbia Record Club back in the day - but details are fuzzy.

Good old Dad.

Only things I'm sure he likes are Clapton, Willie Nelson, ... and shit that was a short list. I strongly suspect Gordon Lightfoot and Marty Robbins, but cannot prove it.

WINNER IS YOU!

Actually, I'm not sure about L.L. Bean, but I'm sure there is some L.L. Bean-esque material.

My dad never once used a computer. Ever.

Though he'd probably be downloading Tennessee Ernie Ford songs if he were still around.

Erik Satie - The Dreamy Fish
Vaughan Williams - A Sea Symphony (Symphony No 1)
John Adams - Harmonium
Debussy - Prelude to the Afternoon of a Fawn

...and I'm betting that he would have liked the new Colleen record and maybe some old Future Sound of London.

Not sure but it probably consists of 50's rock and roll, doo wop groups and old school country.
