So I broke down and bought those jewelsleeves that Hideous Lump recommended. Which means I don't need my cd racks anymore and they are available to a good home. I'm not looking for any cash for 'em. Just buy me a beer at a show or something if you want any of them.

I'm afraid I don't have a digital camera to post pics, but they're in decent shape. The largest holds about 700-800. The smallest maybe holds 150 and lots in between hold 300-400/each. I have 10 racks in total.

If you want any of these give me a holler here before tomorrow afternoon. I'm moving Sunday so if no one wants 'em I'll probably take 'em to goodwill tomorrow afternoon. If you do want them, you don't need to pick them up immediately, I'll move a few of them. I just need to know not to get rid of them (let me know which size). I can store a few for awhile but I don't want to store all of them.

I might be interested, but am a bit tied up right now. Don't wait for me, though. If you need to get rid of 'em, do so. In the meantime, tell me more about these jewelsleeves.

Here's their website I ended up ordering 3 of the four drawer units. They are a bit pricey but seem like a good solution for cutting down on space.

I gave away the furniture quality racks. I still have 5 smaller racks left. I'd guess these hold about 100-150 each. If anyone wants 'em let me know. Otherwise, I'll probably drop 'em off at goodwill on saturday.

If you're asking can I hold on to them for you until March 1 or thereabouts, no prob.

Unfortunately I don't have a digital camera to take pix of them, couldn't find them for sale online to link to, and will probably do a poor job of describing them.

Four of them are Wire Racks, Silver or Gray In Color and have a wavy design to them. I Can't recall exactly what they are made of but they aren't shiny metal and have no rust, I think there might be some kind of ceramic like coating on them. The stand about 4-5 feet high and are wide enough to fit 20-25 cds standing on their sides on each shelf. The fifth rack is made of cherry wooden shelves supported by four black Rods that run through each corner.

They certainly aren't going to win any design awards, but they are all in decent shape and functional. Its too bad you didn't reply earlier because I did have some bigger racks that were nicer stained and varnished wood that held lots more but I gave those to my movers.

Anyway let me know if you want me to keep them for you.

awesome, i'll totally take them off your hands. i actually might be moving my stuff into storage the weekend of the 25-26th since the 1st falls on a weekday and i can't take time off work, so i'll get in touch with you the week prior to arrange to pick them up. thanks! whereabouts are you moving to?

and i will totally buy you beers at the next show. that is, if we ever end up at the same show?

I moved to Los Feliz last weekend. I'm just around the corner from Tangiers and the Derby. I'd left the racks at my old place, but I need to go back to finish cleaning it this weeked so I can pick them up and bring them back.

Did you find a place yet? Where are you moving?

perfect, i'm always around that area so i'll definitely arrange to meet up with you when the time comes.

didn't find a place yet- still looking around for a roommate (but i don't want to commit to a place with someone i hardly know). i made arrangements with a good friend of mine to stay at his place for a month so i'm putting all my stuff into storage. i hardly have furniture, just a lot of cds & clothes. ha! figured this would work best because 1. i'm paying rent for a place i'm never at anymore and 2. the commute is killing me.

Just noticed your post.

The pockets are lined with what looks like Bounce dryer sheets to prevent scratching. They should promote that more on their site. I was thinking the same thing before HL told me that.
