Best thing about this board:
No matter what you are into, there is someone around to shit on it!

Hell, Soup and Salad is a pretty good, cheap lunch from OG..you should be able to get 2 meals or maybe bring a friend out of that.

Yeah, and those breadsticks are pretty insane.

I think the problem most people have with the place (mine at least), is that it passes as 'fine dining' for far too many people.

'Ima gon take my sweetie to the faanciest resteerant i know. the olive gar-den.'

The food is actually not that bad.

They have bars and sell beer at the OG. $25 will buy a few drafts for you and your friends. Woohoo.

I agree with the SenaTOR -- soup & salad is good. I love their dressing. I have gone just for the salad.

Also agree with the killer breadsticks. The only thing better were these bread "knots" in a restaurant in Hawaii, at a restaurant whose name I forget.

That's what I was going to suggest...

Spend it at the bar...

Agreed. Red Lobster falls into this category as well. (sorry Ficky)

And nice approximation of how my dad talks, but even he thinks the fucking Olive Garden is bogus. :D

My dad swore by Bonanza.

Or, as he called it, The Bar-nan-zerz.

gc are awesome. I love when I receive one just "because". I haven't been to an Olive Garden in forever, but my insatiable thirst for heavenly breadsticks has been quenched by Fazoli's for the past 3 yrs.

I'm sitting on a $25 gift card for The Keg, a Canadian steakhouse chain. My wife's birthday was last week and we went out for steaks that night. I ordered the prime rib, medium. It came out at a low medium rare. I sent it back. They bring it back out and it appears the "chef" basically seared the outside leaving it just as rare inside. I sent it back and told them I'm not paying for it. Manager brings me out $25 gc.

First time I've ever had to do that, but I can't abide that much blood on my plate.

There are a few certain things OG does well...

breadsticks, salad, zuppe toscana, stuffed mushroom caps, fried mozzarella, grated parmesan (for the salad and the soup), and occasionally some tiramisu, but that's about it.

I used to work at Olive Garden, for like three months. I woke up one morning and just decided to never go in again.
