So...dating this chick out in New Mexico for a few months, nothing too serious, but exclusive. I moved, and one thing I could not fit in the car was my guitar, she promises to send later. We stay in touch, maybe weekly emails / calls, present for birthday. One twist is that she is a single mother. Anyway, she is kind of pressuring asking where this is going, etc, and I just generally am saying that I enjoy talking, just like being friends...

Well, her father dies of cancer, I am talking to her helping her through it, I guess she hit emotional overload and sent this email:



These things happen, and I am respectful of her wishes. Now this was a few weeks ago. Here's the question: what about my guitar? Decent acoustic, probably worth $300 or so now. Do I:

A) Remember the good times trying to master that Zeppelin riff, because those times are over
B) Have a friend in New Mexico contact her, arrange for a pickup of it
C) Email her, ask if friend can swing by, grab it

why the fuck do people feel the need to post personal shit like this on a public message board, i'll never know.

Ask her for it. Just because she doesn't want you to call doesn't mean you can't, and I don't think this request is unreasonable at all.
