I actually was flipping through this mag at a friend's house and came across Childish's mug adorning a full page, and then a 6 page article on the guy. Pretty amazing that GQ is picking up such a fringe musician like him to spotlight, even if they do name drop Jack White and Kurt Cobain as lovers of his music.

They also did a pretty interesting article as well on Prussian Blue...you know that white power pop group made up of 2 little girls.

You mean the Nazi youth? Just what I want, more insight into the dipshit mentality.

didn't childish heavily criticize jack white a while back for being a pop star? and then jack white rebutted with something about childish being a jaded garage rocker.

i remember thinking it was all pretty...childish.

sorry.

Jack White attacks Billy Childish
The Stripe brands the garage man a 'plagiarist'

The White Stripes frontman Jack White has accused singer/songwriter Billy Childish of plagiarism.

White posted a missive on the band's official site yesterday (February 27).

The note follows comments Childish made about the band in the American GQ magazine.

Childish said of the Detroit duo: "I can't listen to that stuff. They don't have a good sound...Jack's half into the sound and music, but then he wants to be a pop star as well, so you've got a big problem."

White hit back, posting: "As for Billy Childish, Meg and I really feel sorry for you. It must be lonely sitting in all of that garage rock bitterness Billy. You know children, when you take someone else's music and put your own lytics on top of it, it's still called plagiarism.

"Something Mister Childish hasn't learned yet....By the way Billy, we didn't have to have you play with us, and we didn't have to mention you in interviews, we were just being polite in a foreign land. But you're welcome anyways. The bitter garage rocker..."
