you know, i was actually starting to enjoy the tension between her and lauer. it really seemed like matt was ready to bitchslap her 3-4 times a week lately.

Yeah, I knew it was coming too, but I'm so glad to see her muppet mouth and irritating perkiness go bye-bye from the Today Show. I didn't see it this morning, but thank the gods for the innernets. As I read on gawker.com, she can say goodbye to flashing those gams on the evening news, since she'll be behind a desk. Who watches CBS evening news????

I can live with Matt. Wonder if they'll move Ann over or get someone new.

Yeah, the "chinese looking bitch" is Ann Curry, who is from Portland. I believe she's Japanese though. I like Ann, but she seems to fumble over her words a lot.

Natalie Morales is pretty cute, but I doubt she'd make the anchor desk with Matt. Campbell could it but she has got to LIGHTEN THE FUCK UP.

But of course the downside to all of this good news of Katie's impending departure is inevitable-- the monthlong "farewell" montages we'll have to endure every morning and the 3 hour long live circle-jerk on her last day.

dude, the audio from her "announcement" today was too much.

I mean seriously: Is this the fucking end of the nightly news as an institution at least in its current format? The female comment was a little tongue in cheek but I just cant see Katie Couric reading the news...
