Today, I had the urge for to buy some music, so I went to the PX and purchased the following;
The Vines-Vision Valley
The Mooney Suzuki- Alive and Amplified
Athlete-Tourist
British Sea Power-Open Season
Longwave-There's a fire
The Strokes-First Impressions of Earth
Killers-Hot Fuss
Straylight Run-Prepare to be Wrong

Some of this bands I've never actually heard and some just I'm vaguely familar with. The only one am really familar wih is the Killers. ya I admit it , I like the Killers (there goes my indie cred out the window). The PX has a limited selection, but I'm pretty happy with my picks, I think (won't know until I listen to them)

That's not bad at all. I really like Longwave and I've been meaning to give that Athlete another listen. I, also, am a sucker for the Killers. Especially Mr. Brightside (it'll never go away).

The Strokes album is okay, not my favorite of theirs but still okay.

at our radio station we also have

The Mooney Suzuki
Straylight Run

both are decent, i just have to be sure i want to spend my money on an album like that so i'm glad i got a first listen for free.

The Mooney album is their weakest yet, but it's not horrible or anything.

Longwave is good... I prefer their first album over this one though. I haven't listened to the Athlete in a while now either.

Also, buy this, next time:

It might violate "don't ask, don't tell", though, so keep it on the runny kine.

I still buy music on a whim but when I do I make sure it's the musical opposite of this list of albums.

i ordered luiz bonfa off the cuff yesterday. i'm upset its not here yet, internet buying makes off-the-cuff seem so off-the-shirt-front-only-after-dry-cleaning.

I do it so very rarely. My music purchasing budget is tight so I usually will read about an album that interests me, read reviews, and check the chatter here before I'll drop the cash.

Lame but I end up with less crap that way and I hate selling albums back.
