Telescope & mighty. Any of you from Perth?

Have you heard of a band called Cowtown. Friends of mine who i worked with in Greece are in it. Just wondered if they are getting any exposure over there at all.

sorry i haven't heard of em. Ill keep an eye out though. Perth is kinda on the entire other side of the country and i think is the most isolated major city in the world. All the population is concentrated on the East coast, and Perth is the only proper city that isnt directly on the east coast.

(i'm not actually where that arrow is pointing. Tasmania is the Alaska of Australia)

Perth is all the way over there so I don't hear a lot about their (apparently booming) music scene.

Thanks for the geography lesson mate.

I was just wondering if any of you are from Perth. They live just outside in a town called Cowaramup so i very much doubt anybody has heard of them in Perth let alone anywhere else. It was worth a shot.

I haven't heard of them either.

But to kind of add to what mgl was saying, not only is Perth isolated, but its music scene seems to be quite insulated for emerging bands, so you only really start hearing about them on the east coast once they start making a push at national exposure and touring.

So, yeah, who knows? They might be getting good press in Perth, but no one else will hear about it till Triple J and the east coast community stations and street press pick them up.

Further, I'll admit that at anytime in the last six years, if you were to have asked me to name my five favorite bands, the only band that would have been included each time would have been AC/DC. Always in the top spot, too. They still hold it.

I've got their album from a few years ago Sundays. Will have to revisit it.

They've had a new one since then that I intended to check out. Thanks for the reminder
