when's the last day? i just bought sneakers and some clothes without paying taxes!!! maybe i should've waited until i got my tax return, but these sneakers are sooooo cute!

no tax on clothing and shoes over $110 (i think). they do this twice a year. my discover card needs to be sliced.

There's been no tax on clothes (up to $110) since April 1st. There is no scheduled come back.

I say "for now" because the tax will probably be brought back in the case of "economic hardships" the city might face in the future, like it was after 9/11.

thanks. i think new jersey is no tax all the time, but who wants to go to new jersey?

that explains the no tax on the bill when my co-workers and i eat at the local chinese restaurant. best generals tso's ever!

i guess nyc is doing this because they're trying to compete with new jersey. thank you bloomberg!
