I saw on TV that eating the placenta was a delicacy in some parts of the UK, which I thought was pretty disturbing. But jeebus that dude is CRAZY.

In many cultures it is natural to eat, or at least bury the placenta and plant a tree on top of it since it carries so many nutrients.

As for the validity of the story...crazy. Though I could completely see Cruise doing this, all the while making "hmmm" sounds and overacting as per usual.

Would anyone else be not surprised if the baby came out looking like the baby lizard on V?

true. i've read that some people dry out the placenta and then put it into pill form and ingest it.
so while it might be out of context, it might not be a total joke.
