It's an "alone" album. One you listen to while you're alone and sipping wine. Which I do quite well these days.

It's not a "lonely" album. It's a "listen alone to appreciate" album.

Unless you're stoned, then you can listen to it with everybody.

Yeah, me, too, because most people I know aren't interested in what I like.

But Medulla would make for strained and potentially pretentious listening experiences within a group context, unless you're friends with people who are able to stop and actually listen when other people are present, instead of just paying cursory or polite attention.
I don't know many people like that in my three dimensional life.

Well, maybe the dudes from the university art department or something.

It's got Mike Patton on it that's all I needed to hear to get me to listen to it.

Shit, man...
Count me in (but I'm an above average Bjork fan anyway)

Mike Patton gets my attention with anything he does

Have you heard his contributions on that Eyvind Kang album, Virginal Co-ordinates? You won't believe it's him, but he's the only credited singer on the album.

I mostly listen to 'alone' albums. That's pretty much the only way to listen to prog. No-one wants to watch you air-guitar or lip-sync.
