I think I'd rather be dirt poor than having this imaginarily huge balance I'm carrying right now. It's going to disappear as soon as I pay these printer bills.

do you wait until the guy that has your job for the energy lobby calls to ask for money (then work out a deal)?

Give it a good year and they will start sending stuff in the mail offering you a 48% cut off what you owe. But , they want you to pay in full.

Or you can do like me and wait a few years. When they send the cops to your door and serve you with a court date for contempt, then go ahead and work out a deal with the lawyers. Please note if you hide from the cops and don't answer the door or if you don't call the number they leave on your door for 2 weeks, they will wake your ass up at 5a.m. till someone answers the door.

Oh yeah, if it's Sears or Discover they will never stop hunting you down. Even if it's $50 they will not forget it.

At least the place (from what you said) doesn't need much once you get in. But the piddly shit, like rakes and lawnmowers and double the normal amount of alcohol to cope with things, that's what kills ya.

Carson just peeped me out to this concept.

The place we are buying pretty much needs 2 rooms painted and that's IT (thank God, I am so unhandy)

But in like a year, Cap, I was telling Femgar that I'm gonna fly you in to wire the bugger once I can get Stereo + TV on porch...

No shit. Discover is ruthless. Free t-shirt = seven years of misery.

good point, the last few should go on ebay immediately. I did give one to a friend in chile, but i don't think that my spanish really conveyed just how awesome those shirts are. he seemed confused.

I owe like 40K in student loans and something like 7,500 in credit card debt. I fucking hate Discover Card. They used to call me like two or three days before my bill was actually due to see why I hadn't paid it. That was before I had caller ID. Now, I just laugh at how they try to change up their numbers to fool you.
I always think my credit rating has to be piss poor, but then I get credit card offers from Citi Bank and was approved the last two times I applied for apartments.

student loans are fine, but you need to deal with that credit card debt asap.

I'm usually the same way, despite my Student Loan debt...

Then I realised that I had to use over half my (bi-weekly) paycheck on Fri. to pay bills, and I'm feeling pretty slumtastic...
