impractical cockpit

dont know if anyone else is really into
load records wierd ass bands
like i am

but last night this band from new orleans
impractical cockpit
came and played under a bridge in winona

actually... on the island between minnesota and wisconsin
it was raining/storming off and on

all kinds of experimental noises from homemade instruments
and some normal ones too

plus they operate out of a biodiesel van and shit
a lot of their shows guerilla performances with a generator

it was pretty incredible
plus they all temporarily homeless and shit

blew my mind for about 40 minutes

cats, I didn't even read your post, but I thought I would let you know that I am going to copy and paste your posts into a word document and then put music to them and try and use the format and the punctuation as much as possible to create a "lyric". I don't care if you refuse the rights to do this. Free speech, fool.

this sounds awesome. how did you find out about this? seems like the kind of thing i would be into, and if i was talented or not trying to do something else with me life, something that i might do.

its hard to miss the word of mouth about a show here
winona is about thirty thousand people
and theres about one of these d.i.y. shows every two weeks

about 60 people usually show up
sometimes up to 150

the scene is pretty intense

this show drew only about 20-25 people
but it was a tuesday... at 5pm
outdoors in shitty weather
and i think a lot of people work evening shifts

i'd love to do something like these guys are doing too
...
im saving it for my midlife crisis-why didnt i marry when i had the chance-post student loan paying days
