I'm at Phil's. I have just eaten a ridiculously good tuna melt (think bacon and pesto), we're gonna load the bike into the truck, and we out.

Anyone needs me, they can email me at (my 10digit cell number)@vtext.com. If you don't know my number, ask somebody.

Say a praya.

I'd pay money to watch you guys load that bike in the truck.

Good luck (with the drive and the loading).

(whisper) I'm touching Ayah's keyboard...

Gentlemen, I am living the american dream. I am in the holy temple itself. I did not spontaneously combust upon crossing the threshold, as I had feared. But I dare not relaxe yet. SPoet's on her way. With beer. Margaret Thatcher naked on a cold day, Margaret Thatcher naked on a cold day...

I am alive. As may have been mentioned, Phil and I braved the elements (and an uncooperative home-made bike loading ramp) to get all the way to within 100 miles of Boston, only to be stopped by one bitch of a traffic snarl. 4 hours to go about 30 miles, and hotels full or asking $100 a night. Enter SPoet to save the day. Did I stay in some shitball Days Inn off the pike? Fuck no. I stayed in a 3 story, 4-star vacation lodge on a hillside in Vermont, overlooking both a magnificent lake and a magnificent pan of Phil's holy-shit lasagna. We stuffed ourselves, drank good beer, and took whirlpool baths (separately, mind you).

Yesterday, I hadda be out of that place while some folks put new windows in, so I got on the bike and drove in a big circuit around most of southern VT. In the rain, but still. That state is fucking gorgeous. I stopped in Bennington and had a beer with a guy on a bmw bike. I drove into Green Mountain State Park accidentally, rounded a corner and hit dirt road. I figured "can't last long, right?" Wrong. Bout 30 miles of me piloting a cruiser bike on packed, muddy sand / gravel. If I'd wrecked, I'd still be there... didn't see a person or a vehicle for hours. Did the whole thing in 2nd/1st gear, never over 25mph. Finally it turned into a little town (about 6 houses' worth), and I asked for directions. Turned out I was about an hour north of SPoetLand, and I got back with a huge grin on my face.

Now, Ayah has taken mercy upon me, and I am back in Mass. "This is my Graceland, sir."

I am trying to upload pics, but I don't know how to resize them on a mac.

No, funny enough it was a brewpub called Madison's... just like the place Busty and I played at Thursday nights for a year till September.

I walked in, sat at the bar, and noticed the guy next to me had a helmet on the counter. We exchange looks, and I say "bmw?" "Yep. Kawasaki?" "Yep. Nice to meet you."

Nice guy.

Yup. Some doctors from Long Island own it, stay there once or twice a month. Poet's folks take care of it. It was NICE. I had no business being there.

lots and lots, but there was other talk too. I got the whole First Mate story. What a doozy.

Kind of makes you want to watch The Princess Bride or some shit. Oh look, speak of the devil, it's on AMC.

Speaking of that house though, I didn't deserve to cook in that kitchen.
