And leaving work early today is gonna be a joke since I'll have to endure a minimum two hour drive home with all the holiday traffic making their grand exodus.

I'm whiny. And tired.

I'm leaving at 12:30 today. No ifs or buts.

I thought about calling in today, but then I'd have to spend the day cleaning my apartment before the weekend trip. Now, I can sit on my ass for most of the day and do a half ass cleaning job tonight while I pack.

We're throwing the first of our monthly parties this evening. So, I'll be working until 3am. I love how I can call that work.

I liked the past long weekend so much, I decided to take another one this weekend in honour of my US friends and neighbours. That's just the kind of cat I am.

I have like 3 calls to make, and I'm pretty much done.

I came in to work just long enough to head for the airport for a week in FL.

I've been at work for almost an hour and haven't worked yet.

Or rather, haven't actually worked. Have looked very busy, but it was a ruse for the rubes.

i dont want to be at work either. but here i am. until 3pm. and maybe a nice long lunch in there will make the day more tolerable.

I started my 4 day weekend after work last night. I'm trying to figure out the best way for my chips, salsa, and cheese to appear in front of me without actually getting up.

It's been a struggle.

The pressure of it all...it's just 7am and you've already started your work day. Can't it be over with already?

Just a couple of more hours of sleep...please.

I'm ducking out of here as early as possible.

Manager came in half in the bag this morning, stayed 2 hours and just went home due to the oncoming hangover.

Co-worker got hammered last night also and decided she wanted to go to Gay Pride weekend in Pensacola, FL so she didn't come in.

It's just me and another guy here.

More reasons why I NEVER give a shit if I don't come in to work for whatever reason I deem fit.

14 more days of school.

Had a show last night, so i'm wiped. I don't know how I did all those shows and came in to teach back when I cared a little bit.

Yup.

I only work three days a week, and even that is often too much for me.

Ha, and to think I once doubted whether I'm really a musician!

Can't you take a train or a bus or a carpool or something?

Actually, I would have to take a bus AND a train. Unfortunately, the commute to and from work is 6 hour roundtrip.

As for carpool, no one who works in my area lives near me.

I have no desire to stay at work today.

Its amazing how little it takes to fill up a huge packing box. This is getting comical.

The spa is booked SOLID all day and night. And I'm by myself til 1.

My goal is to get the receptionist settled when she comes in and then bail around 2:30ish. IF I can.

I don't want to be here mainly because the first half of the day is taken over by a company party. And I have to try and get their account and paperwork settled in the next hour, which will be impossible. grrrr

Plus I'm exhausted. And my stomach is crabby.

Good lard deliver me from this...

I just want to fastforward to me and Senor Six eating a delicious dinner and doing something fun and then falling asleep knowing I can sleep in tomorrow and have me a huge brunch.

I just want to go home and play with my kids.
Last night I was supposed to be home alone with them. I was really looking forward to doing a little solo bonding with the kids because the wife is always around. We ended up having a huge storm that knocked the power out for 3+ hours and we went to the basement because the tornado sirens were going off, so I had 2 screaming kids in a dark basement with nothing to do, except sit by some tealight candles.

Have I? Maybe it's because I've been feeling a bit overwhelmed with what's going on in my personal life. It doesn't seem I have enough hours in the day to take care of everything I need. I still like my job...guess it's the whole "life" package I'm stressed with.

I'll complain about other things...wait, I already scored Radiohead tickets.
