heres the deal. i got an ipod for christmas. right now im at my parents who have a windows pc. when i go home i will be using it on os x. i remember hearing a while ago that you could not switch platforms like that and access your files. do i remember correctly? or am i wrong?

i dont think you can. it formats itself to either a windows or mac setting, and if you want to reformat it you have to set it to the factory settings. but, congratulations on the addition to the family anyways. its pocket-size-tastic!
