Just noticed this has a "parental advisory" on it.
Good grief.
Is it because there's a song called "Gay Messiah"?

Yeah, it's been fun. I really don't listen to Clear Spot enough. I know it's one of his more "conventional" albums, but I love it. I really need to pick up Spotlight Kid sometime (and Strictly Personal, too).

The Spotlight Kid comes together with Clear Spot on the CD version -- do you have the vinyl?

I've never heard Lick My Decals, even though I'm a HUGE Captain Beefheart fan. I've just been waiting for almost three years now for a rerelease of it on CD, so it will be new whenever I acquire it. I know I could download it, but it's just not the same. In December it was rumored that it was getting remastered and rereleased on CD (along with Trout Mask Replica), but I guess nothing ever came of that.

Yeah, I've been thinking about getting that Spotlight Kid/Clear Spot twofer for a while, and I don't really know why I haven't. And yes, I do have Clear Spot on vinyl, but aside from Trout Mask Replica and Doc at the Radar Station, the rest are things I downloaded years ago. I should really get legit copies of Safe as Milk and Ice Cream for Crow as much as I enjoy them.

I haven't really been able to get into Lick My Decals Off, Baby, but I haven't listened to it nearly as much as Trout Mask Replica. It seems to me that it's in an unfortunate place between the more freakish stuff (TRM & Mirror Man) and the more accessible (Safe, Clear Spot). Anyway, if you change your mind about wanting a d/led version, I could always upload it.
