Thom Yorke to appear on US chat show
Star meets a real life 'talk show host'

Radiohead's Thom Yorke has confirmed an appearance on an American chat show.

The star will be one of the guests on 'The Henry Rollins Show', where he will be promoting his debut solo album 'The Eraser'.

Yorke will feature on the American programme on July 15.

Former Black Flag frontman Rollins' show, broadcast on the IFC Network, features the likes of Dinosaur Jr., Peaches and Dashboard Confessional in future episodes.

Radiohead are touring in North America throughout June. They then go on a second European tour of the year in August, including their highly anticipated V Festival dates on August 19 and 20.

'The Eraser' is released on July 10 on XL Records.

If you don't get IFC, you can watch a lot of the clips on the website: http://henryrollins.ifc.com/?referer=%2Fhenry.

I'm not a big fan of him but I'll watch the Dinosaur Jr segment when it happens and probably the Thom York one.

I'm always amazed that marginally talented people like Rollins and Sean Combs can keep themselves somewhat relevent when they're way past their prime if they ever even had one.

on NPR i heard an interview with rollins. they asked how this show is different. he said that it's not a show where people come on to plug their latest project. it's more about talking to the artist behind the art (and so on). sounded promising but from this response i'm thinking frowny face.

Discussion with Thom Yorke = interesting

Discussion about The Eraser = I would rather watch the grass grow.

After hearing a 5-minute promo on IFC where Rollins talks about how punk and off-the-hook uncensored his show was, I thought it sounded too contrived and have avoided watching it thus far. The tiny clips I've seen of him interviewing people, too, seemed really scripted. He's like the Avril Lavigne of IFC to me -- just silly.

Last week I watched a one-hour MuchMusic special on Radiohead, the bulk of which was an interview with Yorke. Now, I'll admit to having a certain morbid fascination with Radiohead - I truly don't understand what people like about them, so I'll actually stop and listen whenever I hear them playing. So I was watching the show in that same spirit.

The end result was the same as always. I don't like Radiohead, and Thom Yorke really has nothing to say. Nothing. He's also an ugly-as-sin wall-eyed doofus so, at least, kudos to him for figuring out how to get laid.

I am just interested in playing a game where I have to decide which eye is actually the one that's looking at you. I imagine being face to face with him and playing the game.

Thom Yorke can look at both sideview mirrors at the same time while driving. Therefore, I will be interested in an interview with/about him.

Originally, my post was just to emphasize the ultimate boredom I experienced with The Eraser.

I like most of Rollins no-bullshit personality and I like Black Flag. Don't like how much contempt Rollins has for sentimental things and for things he thinks are "pussy" because he presents his opinion scathingly against basically nice people whose only sin is being nice. I do think he'd be great to have at your back, particularly if you're a woman.

Radiohead I still don't love.

many thanks..

seems to be several variations of an A chord in the begining

something like x-0-10-9-x-0 --> x-0-7-8-x-0 --> x-0-10-11-x-0

that's not right but it looks like it's something like that.
