Gave the new Built to Spill another listen yesterday for the first time in a couple of weeks, and I guess I must have not been in the proper frame of mind or something during my previous spins of You in Reverse. I really enjoy everything right up until the second half of "Conventional Wisdom," the first half of which is actually a fantastic song. From that point on, the album kind of loses me...BUT, I'm not willing to condemn the entire record, just because I'm not crazy about the last third of it.

It probably won't end up in my Top 20 by the end of the year, but I did bump it way up from 42 of 43 to 34 of 43. And it has gone from my "red" category of albums I don't like, to my "yellow" category of albums that I at least partially like. I'll admit when I'm wrong, and feel this is one of those times.

Thought you'd appreciate that, Jason.

awesome bob! i was just looking at your list on that "rolling...." thread and laughing to myself that you had it at 42 out of 43.

i guess i could see if one was not in the mood for bts, it could come across as annoying as hell. i think i am just always in the mood for bts. glad you are liking it, at least a little more.
