so last tuesday i finished the last of my finals. it was a long, grueling semester but i was glad to have it over & done with so i could catch a breather.
didn't happen.
i spent wednesday in pre-xmas shopping hell , waiting in lines, not getting help from store employees...anyone who has ever gone shopping two days before a holiday like this one knows the deal.
thursday i ran errands and cooked all day for a party some friends were throwing at the bar they work at.
the party was amazing, got to see many people i hadn't seen all in one place in months.
at one point during the evening, they got me over by the bar, and a bunch of people sort of huddled around. i didn't know exactly what was going on, but i knew it was something. somebody shoves a card in my hand - i open it, and everybody's signed a graduation card for me since they all knew i was busting my ass all year to finish my degree. then a friend hands me this box. a bunch of people had chipped in and bought me an ipod as a graduation present! i was totally stunned to say the least.
ended up staying there until 5:30 or 6 in the morning hanging out, playing cards, just having an awesome time.
friday me & the missus ran some more errands, cooked some more, then went out to see our friends who were working that night.
saturday, more cooking, more visiting with people.
sunday both sets of parents came over. it was a long day.
yesterday i went and got a 160 gig firewire drive to start loading all of our music onto.
today is the first day i've had in a week to kind of relax, tho i'm spending the better part of it importing discs.
what a week it's been.

Sounds like a good time.

On Thursday I played cards with my younger brothers and a couple highschool friends that were in town listening to good music. We got obliterated and ended up throwing each other into snow drifts around 4am. I about died of frostbite I think and pissed blood a day from being dropped on my kidney. Good times.
