Damn, things are getting interesting.

Canucks send Bertuzzi, Bryan Allen, and Alex Auld to Florida for Luongo and a defenceman whose name I can't spell.

This trade makes Cloutier expendable, given the acquisition of Noronen last spring. Unless GM Nonis turns around and re-trades Luongo for some much needed help on the 3rd/ 4th lines (not to mention blueline). Personally, I think Keenan got the better deal on this one.

Calgary Flames acquired Alex Tanguay from Colorado for Jordan Leopold and draft picks. Gotta declare Calgary the winner on that one - unless Leopold manages to finally score some of the points that hav always been expected of him.

And Chris Pronger is demanding a trade because his wife doesn't like the city of Edmonton. I guess that puts her in the majority, but it's still a major blow to the Oilers.

Just noticed, Atlanta picked up Niko Kapanen from the Stars for Stefan and Modry.

4 out of the first 8 guys drafted have been American.

I wanted the Kings to get Bryan Little but given thier lack of an all star goalie in about 25 years I don't blame em.

That Bertuzzi-Loungo deal made sense for both sides. Canucks HAVE to tie him up long term.

Everyone seems to think Leopold in Denver means Blake's not coming back. But he fired his agent & says he wants to stay & will do the deal himself

And Lombardi just dealt Pavol Demitra to the Wild. Great. The Kings only top flight talent up front is gone

Demitra for Patrick O'Sullivan. I gotta admit I've never heard of the kid. That seems like a good trade for Minnesota - now they just need to sign Gaborik and fire Lemaire in favor of a more offensive-minded coach.

O'Sullivan scored 90+ points in the AHL last year & he's only 20. Hockeyfutures is tough to navigate right now there's so many people on I can't get much more info.

Did anyone just see Bobby Clarke forget his draft picks name? How does he have a job again?

Man, how far has Stefan fallen. Even though Modry is like 3164573 years old, this trade looks to favor the stars.

That is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard. What is wrong with him. Let me guess....he wants to be traded to Carolina?

I can't see how losing Cloutier could ever be viewed as a bad thing. Knowing my luck, he'll end up on the Caps.
