one of my harddrives is not auto-inputting artist/album info...is there any way to force IPOD to look for it?

Are you inputting through iTunes?

Go to Advanced

Get CD Track names

if it's available, and yr. online, it'll do it for you.

My co-worker Tom has nothing and I mean nothing but problems with his Ipod.

My favorite of his probs? When he goes to add another cd and load it to his Ipod. Everything he already has in there gets wiped out on the computer and his Ipod.

It's happened three times now.

I think he's ready to kill the damn thing.

You are welcome. I'm in the process of using it to re-tag everything I've snagged over the past few years so that they are consistent and mostly correct. It gets tedious at times, but at least I don't have to do it all by hand.

Agreed. The interface isn't exactly intuitive (then again, my brain ain't 100% today). Plus, having it set to rename the file by default is a bit obnoxious. Still, a great project and usefull app.

turns out the harddrive has 20,000 songs on it. It's identifying them right now.

Do I have to do anything after that? On one of the songs it already identified, the IPOD grabbed it and still didn't know it

and Loogar, when I do that "check for CD names" thing it gives me an error message every time
