After watching Texas Tech dog the shit out of whinin'-ass Cal, I'm now watching Boise rough up Louisville. It's good to see these teams that no one gives a shit about do well, hell, undefeated, especially since the BCS is shit and its plan for doling out bowl bids leaves quite a bit to be desired.

And Navy won their bowl, which was badass.

Florida vs. Miami is tonight, but I'm not sure if I'm gonna watch it.

And Cal got robbed whether TT beat them or not, how does the #4 team not get a BCS? Oh yeah that's right cause Texas started whining first.

Actually, Boise ended up snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

As for Cal, if you are gonna cry foul and tout the strength of the Pac-10, you might want to show up and beat a team that finished third in their conference.

Being that you're 3,000 miles away maybe it sounds stupid but here in LA the Rose Bowl is Pac 10 v Big 10 unless it's the national title game. Not saying Cal is better than Texas or Texas didn't deserve a BCS, I'm just wondering why in the hell would you bump a great Pac 10 team out of the Rose Bowl when even without the conf winner the matchup seemed so great?

But according to the BCS set-up, this year the Rose got the Big 10 Champion, Michigan, and a BCS at-large team. Since Texas was #4 BCS, and their fans are known to travel much better than Cal fans, the Rose Bowl chose the 'Horns over the Golden Bears. So the real answer is easy: money. Texas has a more rabid fan base that will travel farther and spend more money than Cal.

For the record, I hate the BCS and believe the absolute best way is to go back to the old bowl system. I really don't have a problem with a split or shared champion.
