God, I hope this disc doesnt suck

Jimmy Eat World have announced plans to enter their own studio on August 7th, 2006 to begin work on their sixth full length.

Drummer Zach Lind had this to say:

We have a group of 17 songs that we feel really happy with and we can't wait to see how they take shape during the record making process. Some of the new song titles that haven't been mentioned before are "Big Casino", "Be Sensible", "Firefight", and "Electable" just to name a few.

We will be working along side Chris Testa as our engineer and the legendary Butch Vig will also be along side the band making sure we don't forget to thrash unreal!!(We are pretty sure that's Wisconsin slang for "kicking serious ass")

The band released their last album, Futures in 2004 and followed that with the Stay On My Side EP, released last year.

Though I wouldn't know as both of the times I've been in Chicago you've not proven your "real life-ness".

Chicago? I live in Vermont.

Edit: You've been here twice? I only recall the one time you went out to eat with Phil.

clarity is brilliant. i like static prevails. bleed american/self-titled was pretty great, too, even with the underwear song.
