I'm looking to book my family plane tickets to Sweden for Christmas so we can spend it with my wife's family.
I've been looking primarily at Northwest Airlines since they are cheaper, but I haven't ruled anything out.

Does anyone know how to acquire some of those $100 E-cert coupons that seem to be all over Ebay? Do they really work if I buy one for $25 on Ebay? I guess the people don't have negative feedback, but I just want to make sure it works internationally and such.

If you PM me a working e-cert number, I'll send you a brand new cd of your choice. I need 4 of these e-certs.

Discounted flying usually doesn't apply during the holiday season. Have you been checking Expedia, Travelzoo or Travelocity for deals? Also, you might try Priceline.

Oh, yea. I've checked them all.
Flying to Sweden in Christmas is not a popular thing to do, so that is the cheapest tiem of year for us. Sweden is a much more popular Summer destination.

I'm not looking for discounted flying. I'm looking for these discount coupons. The ebay listings say "No blackout dates" but I was wondering just how accurate the fine print is.

It's cheaper to fly to Sweden during Christmas? Hmmm...maybe I should look into this.

If I were you, I'd call the airline to verify regarding any blackout dates..

Don't work the industry, but as a frequent NWA flyer, I can pretty much assure you the carrier will allow the redemption of only one E-Cert per purchase. If you were to book each seat individually w/ different credit cards, you could receive the $400 discount. Otherwise, you're pretty much felched. TCV vouchers, on the other hand, can be used anytime and applied w/ other coupons. Sorry. I hate them too.

What's a "TCV voucher"?

We are actually booking our trips seperately, since my wife is going out sooner with the kids, so we, in theory, could save $200, minus what I pay to get the code.

Two hundo's better than squat. TCV's are the coupons handed out for delayed or cancelled int'l flights. Since NWA's such a nightmare to travel anyway, the wife & I usually score $800 each every time we visit the fam overseas.
