OK, this is the first year for doing this.
Here's how it will work.

There are 12 teams that make the playoffs.
There will be 12 people joining in this tournament.
Entry Fee is: $10
Winner gets $100, and 2nd place gets $20

Each person will be randomly assigned a team. (by drawing from a hat. You are all free to watch me do it on my webcam!)

That will be your team to go thru the playoffs, but if your team does not cover the spread, then you lose, and the other person takes over your team. The spread is what makes this pretty fair. The spread will be decided via this website: Vegas Odds

IE: Tim has Denver, Bob has Indianapolis. Indy is favored by 10. Indy must win by 10 or more for Bob to win. If they only win by 9 points, then Bob is out and I take over Indy as my team.

I have all 12 people:
1. timmyjoe42
2. Harry Helsel
3. Max
4. Sketch
5. Dreaded Marco
6. lockness lobster
7. Kristen Otto
8. Shane Soucek
9. Jeff Whiteman
10. bitterbuffallo (Toby Cox)
11. Jim Wilson
12. Keith Williams

The team assignments will happen Friday evening sometime.

Teams in the playoffs are:

AFC:
1. Pittsburgh
2. Indianapolis
3. San Diego
4. Denver
5. New England
6. New York Jets

NFC:
7. Philadelphia
8. Green Bay
9. Minnesota
10. Atlanta
11. Seattle
12. St. Louis

I'll gladly join in but may I suggest that we pick the lines from one casino or use Danny Sheridan's lines from USA today. Or just explain to me the continuity of these lines from this site, brother; anyway, I'm in....

Edit: speaking of paypal, what do y'all make of this?

Does Danny post his odds online? I can't find them at www.usatoday.com

I'd be up for just using the Stardust Odds from that page so there are no arguments about 6 or 6.5 points.

On second read, if they keep the consistent Stardust odds, I'm great with using those.....emailing you right now. Thanks T.J., great idea.

For anyone not sure how to use paypal here are some instructions.

First off, your checking account must be linked to the paypal.
Then:

1. Log in to your paypal account.
2. Select "Send Money"
3. Put in my email
4. Put in $10 as the amount
5. Select Auction "non ebay" (quasi cash doesn't work)
6. Then make something up in the auction thing
7. and say Hello in the message.

BAM!

Payment denied!

(Can't take Credit Card payments as I don't have a premeir account. They skim too much of a percentage of all my transactions.)

Basically, I didn't absorb anything from this post besides 'timmy, gamble, and paypal.' That's why I'm asking questions that are answered in the initial post. I blame it on inability to focus on anything for more than a minute. Anyway, I'm in. I'll paypal you the $$$ on thursday when the damn thing will let me confirm my bank account.
