I still think their debut (Showbiz) is their best.

I only have Absolution (and I like it a lot). Not sure if I need any more of 'em, though...

Origin Of Symmetry is their best album. It just so big, grand, epic, powerful and long. It was when they set out to make a statement and what happens? It never sees the light of day in America because it was no longer Radiohead.

Absolution was a bit of a let down for me. Don’t get me wrong because it’s a real good album but came after OoS unfortunately. It was a commercial success and rightfully so because they are a real good band. There was no way possible this one wasn’t going to be put out in the States.

Showbiz is Radiohead influenced big time because of the voice on this album and music to a bit lesser degree. There is nothing wrong with that and now that I know the later albums wonder if it still applies?

I would say either Showbiz or Absolution would be a good place to start.

I disagree with the Radiohead-influenced comments. Sure, the lead singer sounds like Thom Yorke, but other than that, I think the analogies end. They sound more like Placebo to me, musically.

I know Placebo well, what album would you say Showbiz sounds like? I could just play the album but only 2004 for me at the moment.
