Here's the main music from my wedding

Processional - Sigur Ros - "Starálfur" (timed so that my wife entered the room right when it sounds like cannons are going off after the acoustic interlude)

Recessional - Reindeer Section - "You Are My Joy"

Introduction - U2- "Beautiful Day" (even though he messed up and played some 80's r&b cheesefest before figuring out he messed up. Our reaction on the video should be funny

First Dance - Spiritualized - "Ladies and Gentlemen, We're Floating in Space"...(the song even ends the little interview/childhood photo montage our videographer put together)

Father/Daughter Dance- Louis Armstrong - "What a wonderful world" - tough to find a good father daughter song

Mother/Son Dance - ELO - "Sweet Talkin' Woman" - My mom's in a wheel chair so we decided to do a fast dance...and my mom and i love some ELO.

Wedding Party Dance - Fatboy Slim - "Praise You" which was quite fun because most of the wedding party knew the song and i got to try to reenact the video

Exiting Dance - Modest Mouse - "Float On" - funny i think but i was hammered at this point.

Random songs played during the reception that i can remember

While we were eating:
Alexi Murdoch - Orange Sky
Air - You Make It Easy
Coldplay - Don't Panic
Death Cab - I Will Follow you into the dark
Mazzy Star - Fade into You
Peter Gabriel - In Your Eyes

For dancing:
Young MC - Bust a Move
Outkast - So Fresh, So Clean
Kanye West - Golddigger
Daft Punk - One More Time
Stardust - The Music Sounds Better With You
New Pornographers - July Jones (Me and my sister were dancing and singing like crazy people and my dad kept saying "what the hell is this song?")
Stars - The Aspidistra Files (the lone slow song that was played once they started the dancing...i think.....me and my wife started out dancing with this song then halfway through i went and got her mom and she got my dad to finish dancing...underrated starts song)

the rest were guest and dj choices...i'm bummed that the following songs weren't played:
YYY's "Maps"
Yaz "Don't Go
De La Soul - Eye Know
Fruit Bats - When You Love Somebody
The Rolling Stones - Under My Thumb (i had a dance prepared for this to taunt my wife)
Beach Boys - God Only Knows

the end of the night is a blur but i do know that when we left our guests were waiting outside with sparklers as we made our way to our vintage car waiting to take us around town.

Good times.

And I love me some ELO, too!

This just gave me chills. Congratulations on not having a cookie cutter wedding. Sounds like it was a great time.

hell yes, ELO. I seem to remember 'Don't Bring Me Down' being played way late into our wedding reception afterparty
