It's really Part 3, if you consider RParis74's YSI mix a few weeks ago, but this is more of the "CD in the Mail" type of exchange, like the one BillyG organized earlier this year.

If you're interested...
1. Unlike last time, this mix will have a theme.
OFFICIAL: MIX EXCHANGE THEME
"I was just thinking it'd be kinda cool to compile a mix of songs that completely define you as an individual, whether they be old or new songs. You know, taking specific artists or specific songs that shaped your current view/taste in music today. I think it's kinda open to interpretation on how people want to communicate that."
2. People don't have to mail out so many CDs this time, we'll separate into more than one group. This would also make it a lot easier to write reviews. I'll randomly pick the groups at a later time.
3. Reviews: all mixes must be reviewed. Several mixes from Part 1 were not reviewed so we'd like to avoid this if we can. If we separate into more than one group, people won't feel so overwhelmed to write so many reviews.
4. Mixes will not be sent all at the same time. Every week, a different Obner member will mail out his or her mix, giving everyone else an opportunity to listen to the mix for a full week before getting another mix. I will come up with a schedule to let everyone know when to send their mix. I think this will also give everyone's mix a chance to be given enough attention. This means, the exchange will continue until the end of the year, but for those who don't have to mail their mix out until three months from now, just remember, that you'll be receiving mixes in the mail every week to keep you busy.
5. Deadline to join is Friday, September 29.

So if this sounds like something you'd like to try, E-mail me your full name and address. I will put together a spreadsheet of addresses and E-mail it to everyone who'll be receiving a mix from you. I will also keep you updated on whose mix will be sent out that particular week.

First thing's first...my E-mail is chris.bitados@gmail.com . Also, if you have any questions or opinions, post them here.

You scoundrel. It wouldn't be the same without your batch in the mix.

Even if it's just 5 people to a group, and you receive one mix per week for 5 weeks?

I was thinking before about how to improve on the last one. And I was thinking it should have been Secret Santaish where everyone put how many mixes they were willing to send out and that person's name was entered that many times into a figurative hat. Then you just start pulling them out for who they have to send them to.

This should work too.

Hmm not sure yet. I mean...I'm always a sucker for a mix exchange. Put me down as tentative.

But once you start getting more than 10 people involved, it's hard to guarantee a review, especially if each member sends 2 CDs. haha Don't get me wrong, I like getting exposed to all this music, and the last mix exposed me to a lot of great stuff. I reviewed about half of them last time I think, and I'm pretty sure that's more than most involved. I'm just not as good at it as FT, Radcliffe, etc.

Put me down as tentative.

Trust me, people won't have to review more than 5 or 6 mixes tops.

Me? Hmmm....odd. I thought I mailed them out to everybody on that list.

Actually, I don't think I got yours either. I just looked at it in the mix forum and don't recognize that track listing.

That's odd. I sent out two different mixes so don't go by the mix you see in the mix forum.

The last one seemed fun. I might do it this time.
