and had celebrity to the point where your name was recognized by all and most would recognize you on the street...

would you continue to regularly post on Obner? Would you still join the mix exchange parties? Do you think rumors of posting on a small internet message board would bring browsing miscreants here leading to its ultimate demise? Would you still associate with the lowlies here?

I half expect that if I was a famous director or The Senator was president or if Phil was in a well-respected money-making band or something we would be ousted by this community because of all the Obner's remarks of mediocrity in regards to their creation/output/performance.

I used to be famous/recognised. Still get small royalties from old miky bar kid adverts. But that did not answer the question really.

I probably wouldn't because I'd have enough real friends that I wouldn't need to rely on the internet for company anymore.

But, I'd like to pretend that I would, and mention obner all the time in interviews, and bring in a ton of posters to here. Because even if this place were swamped with new people, it would just make everyone posting here currently into the legendary gods of the board. Thus, we'd all be famous.
