that's what happens when you take more drugs than a touring funk band.

this is the 2nd topic i've started on them and both have received the funk band comment. interesting...

i wasn't a huge fan by any means, but i was happy to know that they were around.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sure the last album was a little disappointing for me but Do Dallas and then two singles were awesome. I never got to see the onslaught that was the live show!! Why aren't there more replies here. This breakup is truly, truly sad. Much sadder than even the Beta Band who were putting out crappier and crappier stuff.

Oh, where will I fulfill my thrashing snarky music fix now?

Me too.

I put my iPod's 8600 songs on "shuffle" this morning, and the first song to play---Collagen Rock by McLusky.

Oh FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDDDDGGGGE!

This blows. I loved that last record like a scagrat loves the needle.
This puts a big-time damper on my day.

I've never been a fan of the band. But I don't like seeing people break apart.

That sucks. I was just listening to them yesterday, thinking "Man, this is just a solid freaking band".

Poopie.

well, there's no reason to continue playing in a band now. the dream is over.

this is fucking awful, as i recently decided they've been one of the most important bands to me of the last 5 years. shame. It lured me out of hiding, though.

I just heard them for the first time a couple weeks ago. I bought "Do Dallas" based on all the praise here. I was hoping I'd get to see them live; I guess that won't happen now.

I'm glad I made the trip to see them in november and they blew me away. Still, even then... they'd just had their gear stolen, the crowd was kinda lame because ATP was that same night. I remember thinking 'This must seem very discouraging to them, I hope they stick it out.'

This sucks. What other current rock-out band that still has any prospect of existing in two years do I like? If mclusky break up, does it mean I'm old? Is Ted Leo strong enough to keep me young?
