Sorry, but I can't think of any (or too many) that I hate.

But I miss Steve Stone like hell when watching the Cubbies.
Dude was dead-on and didn't hold back, without being smarmy.
He just knew his shit and spoke his mind, which is probably what got him fired.

As much as some people hate him, Keith Jackson.
When he used to cover the Nebraska-Oklahoma games, he was phenomenal.
He was a bit of a Nebraska homer if he did any other games for us during the year, even though he is a West Coast guy.

I'll take Dick Enberg over just about anybody for NFL PBP.

Same goes for Verne Lundquist for college.

It used to be Harry Caray, cuz he just didn't give a flying fuck.

Now it's Jerry Remy on NESN because he's a good guy with a very dry sense of humor.

Oh, and Hazel Mae, cuz she looks good and you know the little thing can kick yr ass.

Used to be Harold Reynolds. It was like hearing Harold's voice meant that spring and baseball were finally here.

I love Chris Berman for football.

Whoever says "HE GONE" for the Sox is another favorite.

Kings play by play Bob Miller (who just got his star yesterday)

Chicken Parm Ray Ferraro I also really like as a color/studio guy for hocfkey. He and Buccigross made NHL2Nite my favorite show. Stupid ESPN.

For all sports I'll take Michaels. And eventhough I hate the Dodgers I have to give credit to Scully, I wish the Angels had a broadcast team half as good as him.

Lampley is the perfect example of someone who I really dont like as a person (at least my perception of him), but who's work I really enjoy.

merchant and lederman are classics.

Harry Kalas, who most of you probably know as the guy who does voice overs for NFL Films. But he does phillies games as well.

Doesn't Kalas do Eagles games on the radio, too? I always liked him.

Along the same sort of local hero theme, I appreciated Myron Cope (of Pittsburgh Steeler's fame) when I lived in Pittsburgh. Much like Harry Carey, he is annoying at first, but after a while you grow to appreciate his ridiculousness. Plus, there's probably never been another announcer who was a more accurate representation of a team's fans. It was like they just picked up some old dude from a bar in Blawnox and put him on the radio.

If you've never heard him, you can hear clips if his insanity here:
http://www.networksandwebapplications.com/myron/copeism.html

I particularly like this one:
