i'm enjoying this disc a lot more than his solo debut. i like "sexyback" but i like the new single "my love" even more. its super-dense production (which is both thumbs up and down at times) and enjoyable pop music.

even though its 12 songs, i still feel like its too long or something. its all party music and it could lose some weight.

or am i the only one who listens to this sh*t on here? :)

I bought this album last friday

So awesome

first top 40 pop album I'd bought since "Seven and the Ragged Tiger" in 1983.

A friend asked me to DJ at her upcoming book launch.
I asked if she had any special requests.
She said: "The new Justin Timberlake single, I'm obsessed with it".

(Um, one that note, anyone feel like posting it? )

See I just don't get this logic. Certainly you buy other albums on major labels and their subsidiaries, no?

not that often, really. i certainly used to, but after spending some time working for one of the majors, my desire to send these folks any more funding dissapeared entirely, unless it's one of my fav bands.

ps -- i cant decided if i like "LoveStoned." it kinda reminds me of "Changes" in that wuss-pop, piano-orchestra-goosy way. but it's freaking catchy and his voice makes me all breathe-ee.

I'm glad someone else came forward on this...I've been feeling guilty that I was liking this so much.

when I bought the album (at the tower on wabash) I was feeling a little weird about walking up to the obviously hipster clerk with it

then he's like "uh yeah, good album"

I can't stand sexyback, especially when the "yeah"s start kicking in.

It'd be a better record if the songs were a tad shorter (including "My Love" which I still won't shut up about) and...I personally could do without "losing my way" and "until the end of time," but I can see how those might play well for folks. But yeah, I've been pretty happy with this since the late August leak. Yep, I even like "Another Song."

yes, and i do. granted, one can make the same argument for how dirty ticketmaster/livenation is as well, but bands tend to get a much better slice of revenue from touring, even if it all goes to pay off the advance they got from their label.

i've been thinking about this all morning (couldn't tell you why), and i realize this argument is a little contradictory, but it's accurate for describing my record purchasing habits. i've been lucky enough to receive most of the major label releases i'd like for free lately, so purchasing isn't usually an issue. however, i guess what i should've made more clear is that i'm not sold that this record is worth buying, even though some folks have told me it's pretty good.

That's true, but I don't think that it would be for listening to JTimberlake...

I'm patiently waiting for my copy to come in the mail...

yeah i like the album. i liked his first too. and i liked about half of the last nysnc record so whatever.

some of this album is like prog rock or some shit, like half the songs at least are suites instead of pop songs and just keep going once they hit the 4+ minute mark and turn into a completely new song.

i bought it a few weeks ago and like it a lot. the best part on the album, as someone else mentioned, is the ending of lovestoned with the beatboxing, strings and then it switches into the interpol-ish guitar.
