Wow. That's so cool that you quoted that.
I heard that song for the first time when I was in grade 9 listening to the radio. I hit record on my tapedeck. I used to listen to it over and over again.

Of course, I missed the part where the DJ announced it and given that there were no "innernets" I didn't figure out what it was until about 10 years later!

One of my favorite songs ever. :)

Also in keeping with the beautiful 90s 4AD-era quotes...

You never turned around to see the frowns
on the jugglers and the clowns
When they all come down and did tricks for you
You never understood that it ain't no good
You shouldn't let other people get your kicks for you

Todd, are you look for true words sung regarding life in general and our personal feelings or are you looking for artists who have sung something completely true about their own lives?

If the latter, I'd have to go with something like Van Morrison's "In The Garden"

No Guru, no method, no teacher
Just you and I and nature
And the Father and the
Son and the Holy Ghost
In the garden wet with rain

or The Pogues "Sit Down By The Fire"

Remember this place
It is damp and it's cold
The best place on earth
But it's dark and it's old
So lie near the wall
And cover your head
Good night and God bless,
Now fuck off to bed

Just heard "Happy" on the radio this morning, and it struck me how well those words applied to Keef.
So, I suppose that's the latter.

But either way is just ducky!

Yail Bloor & Senator Cleft Pallet LooGAR have just sent forth from Redlands a FATWA, with sirens flashing and horns blaring.

Good thing you're in Hawai'i, to which black houseboys can't swim.

(You just know that an aspiring plutocrat like Bloor has at least two man-servants.)
