After years of considering myself at least an 8 on the computer-geek/smartass scale... today I managed to wipe out all of my bookmarks in Firefox. And believe me, I had A LOT.

Basically what happened was this:

- Firefox was running strangely which reminded me I needed to upgrade to 2.0.
- It wasn't even opening so I opened Explorer and went to the Firefox site and downloaded 2.0.
- I installed 2.0 instead of doing an update.

When I reopened Firefox I realized it had written over the old version, including my bookmarks.

One more thing: I had system restore turned off (from other recent smartass computer geek activites).

The bottom line: Is there any way I can get those bookmarks back? Are they hidden somewhere within the recesses of my harddrive?

Pls+thx

Polly

Thanks dude. Yeah, I just found something about it on another music board I go to. Pretty dumb bug on their part, IMO.

Problem fixed. Phew!
