I'm so pissed right now, I can taste the hate in my mouth. My blood pressure's boiling.

A coworker has season tickets for the Bears. He agreed to sell me three of his four tickets for Sunday's game against the Dolphins for about $145 less than face value. He would've taken the fourth ticket. Then, he decided to not take the fourth and said that ticket #4 is now valued at $360 to make up for the difference between face for four versus three discounted.

NOW, he's telling me this:

Quote:
I need to think about it tonight, knowing if I revoke my offer I’d piss you and your family off in the process, and sadly it comes down to money. I have others that want to buy this game and only this game from me, so I need to see what makes sense to me.

PISS OFF ME AND MY FAMILY?!?!? How about not being a fucking asshole and revoking tickets five days before the fucking game? I have to work with this guy, so I can't really walk over and be like, "hey, you're a fucking dick." without having to see him every day from here on.

Oh my god, I feel like I'm going to punch a fucking wall.

First of all, let him know exactly how you feel. He's already pissed you off and should know about it. The guy shouldn't walk away unscathed. And if he ever wants to sell tickets or whatever to a coworker again, his reputation will already have been spread about. If he still doesn't give you the tickets, walk away and hope that karma gives him a GIANT bite in the ass.

Fuck that shit. I hate when people do that.

Is there something special about this game vs. some other home game? Could you just take a discount another weekend. And goddamn you for tricking me into reading a thread about Da Bears...I'm usually so good about ignoring those.

My dad is Dolphins fan #1 and my mom is Bears fan #1. We never do anything like this.

I cannot believe that he's being like this. He suggested the discounted price. Not me. And, it's not my fucking fault that he's suddenly got a wedding to go to.

And seriously, if I can't do this for my dad, not only will he be pissed at me, he'll probably bring a garbage truck to this guy's house to dispose of him.

This guy is obviously a douche.

Man law #5868:

Thou shalt not revoke tickets to a game after the offer has been made even if the ticket givers reason for not going to the game fell through.

Kill him now.

Rich just told me to keep my cool until tomorrow. How the fuck am I supposed to do that? The only thing that's keeping me from walking over there and giving him an earful is the fact that I need to keep my job.

My dad will be soooooo pissed if we don't go to this game. I wouldn't be able to face him.

more of an email agreement:

So first come first served. They are yours for Nov 5. If you want all 4, I’d sell you all 4 or if all you want is 3, then 3 works too.

oral agreements are just as binding as written as long as you have offer, acceptance, and consideration (with certain exceptions)...just harder to prove.

Jasmine,

Call the guy out in a way that doesn't piss him off. If he realizes he's being a douche, he'll give in and sell the tickets to you.

Don't be the bitch you want to be. Catch more flies with honey...

I'm not even going to talk to him until tomorrow morning. One of my biggest personality flaws is flying off the handle and regretting every word of my rant about 30 seconds later.

I will run after work, sleep on it tonight and worry about it tomorrow.

My face is finally cooling off and my hands have stopped shaking from the blood pressure spike.

Wait a sec. My math skills suck, but is the face value of the tickets really $215 apiece? Good lord, I hope they're great seats.

If they are that good, by the way, why doesn't he just put the 4th seat up on Craigslist? With the Bears undefeated, he could probably get $100 over face, if not more. Worth a shot.

Oh...and yeah, he's being a total dick.

I don't speak Seinfeld, FT.

(I'm assuming Elaine Benes is the same Elaine from Seinfeld, right?)

What's a Label Baby, Jr?

The other fucked up thing is that he told me that he reserves one game per year for friends. Why has he invited me to three games (two I couldn't go to) this season FOR FREE?

And the OTHER fucked up thing is that this guy is a CPA. He's not hurting for money, so why is this about money? I guess everyone's greedy, no matter how much they make.

Man, I'm just getting pissed off again. Dalen, how fast can you be here with a bottle of Makers and a couple of 18 year olds? I'm in THAT kind of mood.

If I were you, I'd spread malicious rumors about his penis size to the office or tell everyone about how he farted in your office and how bad it stunk.
