We've owned homes in the past, but this is the first one we've had built. All that's left before it's finished is sod and the appliances. Closing has been set for 11/17 (two weeks from today). Exhiliration and/or terror is imminent. I'll try and take some pics this weekend. I don't think Prison Break is filming in the neighborhood anymore, so don't expect any shots of Bill Fichtner in the background.

Awesome, building my own home is an architects dream. I want everything just perfect, so that after it's finished being built, I can second guess everything I decided years earlier, or complain about the crappy design/ layout.

hopefully the new place will have room to keep all of the cars in the garage...because, as long as your car isn't getting totaled, having a meth-addled teenager occasionally plow into your mailbox keeps things interesting...it's nothing but crap in your mailbox anyway
