Been listening to them quite a bit lately, and I've come to the conclusion that "Too Fast For You" is the best tune they've ever written.

Yours?

That's a difficult question,

It's a toss-up between:

A Month Of Sundays
The Ungauarded Moment

No matter how much I want to say "When You Were Mine," "Columbus," or "Unguarded Moment."

It has to go to their biggest hit, the brilliant, "Under The Milky Way."

Though Hymn 125 is Isaac Watts, who probably would have had some really cool CDs if he were around today

I was having dinner with some friends in LA and "Under The Milky Way" came on and conversation just kind of stopped to listen to this song - it was something quite peculiar...

Yep, that song ranks as one of my favorites of all time. Never get sick of it. I hate that it has to be so popular, but it's such a beautiful song, I guess we can't blame everyone else for picking up on it, too.

Their latest album finally clicked with me last week. They had a few missteps in the 90s, but they seem to be back to churning out really good stuff lately. This and After Everything Now This are surprisingly awesome.

I really don't know enough of their stuff. Just the singles.
But the chiming guitar part on
"Metropolis"
makes my day every time I hear it.
It's magic.

Not only the best Church song, but probably one of the five best songs of the entire '80s. Anyone who posts "Under The Milky Way" deserves a swift kick to the crotch, regardless of gender.

Kick my crotch, please. Reptile is right up there in greatness, however.

I just felt like being an obnoxious ass this morning for some reason. There's actually nothing wrong with that song, other than I've just heard it too many times.

Here's a Church mix for all y'all. Leaves out a lot, but leaves in a lot, too. I accidently stuck a live version of The Unguarded Moment on there, but it was already zipped before I noticed it was the wrong one. Think of it as an artifact, I guess.
