They're playing tonight at a tiny art gallery...I'm considering going but I'm fairly tired.

well, just saw that subtitle and blueprint are opening...so now I'm definitely going.

i have not seen them, but i did dj their after-party here in the spring and the people who came from their show were a very awkward crowd. that says nothing about them as a live band, but i also did think the unicorns were rather fun. although, as has been pointed out numerous times, islands are certainly no unicorns.

i hated them live so much

Islands are fairly tired. Islands are people too.

<--seen them live and liked them. Nick Diamonds freaked out during the last song and started slamming his guitar on the ground, which was at least entertaining. If you like the music, I think you'll have a good time.

i've heard a lot of mixed reactions of their shows. i liked the unicorns show i went to, but hated the islands show. i've heard people say the opposite. i think its all depending on how nick diamonds feels.

also, blueprint is pretty great live. course when i saw islands, i got busdriver and cadence weapon, which was so awesome.

My brother saw and interviewed them during their show in Omaha before one of the former unicorns quit the band. He is a big fan and was a huge Unicorns fan, so he really enjoyed it.
