I love that record.
More tracks from that made it onto my wedding roadtrip mixes than any other records.

It's everything that every other pop/punk wants to be but cannot - because they are not The Descendents.

After listening to nothing but 2006 releases for the last while, I'm dedicating the next week to listening to this band, Stooges and Stones. And Neil.

I saw him on Saturday open for the Pernice Brothers. It is the full length and I believe you can only purchase it at his shows for the moment. I'm starry eyed.

To quote myself from the weekend thread:

Saturday - Work. Cheesecake, wine and raspberries with ayah and the guy followed by dinner (just he and I) at a Moroccan cafe ayah suggested and the Pernice Brothers. It was a ten o'clock show that didn't end until 1 AM. We arrived at his place after 2. Crashed. By the way, Tanny, you told me I would like Elvis Perkins and I'm considering dropping the guy to follow Mr. Perkins. I am in lurv.

np: "dog problems" the format

(vying for to rise from #7 over neko at #6.)

(through track #3 neko wins & i need to consider moving essex up.)

("dog problems" track reminds me of the good qualities of being at the fair. "oceans" is enthusiastically propelling. album closing strong.)
